Emirates Post, in association with Arab Postal Administrations, has issued a joint commemorative stamp under the title “Al Quds – Capital of Palestine”. The decision to issue the stamps was taken during the meeting of the Permanent Arab Committee of Posts held on 28 March 2018 in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.
As part of the Arab postal corporations’ move to support Al Quds cause and protect its Arabian heritage, they have issued the joint stamp. The design of the stamp highlights the landmarks of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the flag of Palestine. The design also shows the white dove symbolizing peace.
The remarkable design serves to dramatically remind the world of the status of Al Quds – Capital of Palestine as seen through the eyes of every Arab and Muslim, and to highlight its cultural value and Arab identity.
