5th Anniversary of Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence
Commemorative Stamp Series Celebrating Five Years (2020-2025)
Emirates Post, in collaboration with Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI), has launched a commemorative stamp series to mark five years (2020–2025) of the University’s contributions to advancing artificial intelligence for the benefit of humanity. The series also highlights MBZUAI’s role in supporting the UAE Government’s strategic priorities, where AI is a key driver of future growth, prosperity, and a knowledge-based economy.
Together, the three stamps tell a unified story of visionary leadership, place and progress, and purpose-driven impact, spanning national ambition, cultural identity, global collaboration, and the development of the next generation of Al leaders.
Stamp one – Visionary leadership and identity
Inspired by MBZUAI’s namesake, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, the first stamp honours the UAE’s forward-thinking leadership in establishing the world’s first graduate-level, research-focused Al University.
The stamp showcases MBZUAl’s refreshed visual identity and reflects a strong cultural connection. ‘Celebrating Five Years 2020-2025′ emblem draws its pattern from the Mashrabiya elements incorporated into the University’s campus architecture, symbolising the integration of heritage, innovation, and future-oriented vision.
Stamp two – Place, sustainability, and global exchange
The second stamp highlights MBZUA’s flagship Knowledge Center at its Masdar City campus, designed by the renowned British architecture firm Foster + Partners. Originally a state-of-the-art library, the Knowledge Center now houses the University’s leadership, including President and University Professor Eric Xing. The building stands as a symbol of sustainability and progress and has hosted presidents, ministers, ambassadors, technology leaders, and leading Al academics from around the world.
Stamp three – Power from Knowledge to Serve
The third stamp reflects the University’s guiding principle: Power from Knowledge to Serve. This motto underscores MBZUAl’S commitment to using knowledge as a force for service and positive impact. Faculty, researchers, students, and alumni excel in their fields, publishing at top-tier venues and advancing Al research with global recognition and success.
Through a growing alumni network of 300-plus Al graduates, MBZUAI continues to develop the next generation of global changemakers. Its alumni apply advanced Al research to practical solutions that benefit industry, society, and global progress
