H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah issued his instruction to design and construct Sharjah Mosque as a symbol of Islam’s message and a living example for current Islamic architecture. His Highness expressed his interest for the mosque to act as a beacon of Islamic Architecture, reflecting the traditional and deep-rooted Islamic values.
The mosque’s significance was emphasized through perpetual guidance and direct auspice of His Highness Ruler of Sharjah throughout the project’s development, starting from the design process and the selection of the project’s location to the most elaborate details of the mosque’s architectural features. The continuous guidance and visits of His Highness Ruler of Sharjah supported the project alongside its execution phase, enriching it and presenting Islamic Architecture in the most splendid form.

Sharjah Mosque is spacious in form and substance along with its exterior gardens. It extends over a total area of two million square feet and serves many areas with its strategic location. With its interior and exterior space, Sharjah Mosque welcomes thousands of worshippers, and parking for vehicles and buses
