Development of Relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and United Arab Emirates
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) were established on October 1, 1992. The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the UAE was opened in September 2006. The Embassy of the UAE in Astana City has opened in October 2005. While the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Dubai started its operation since 1997.
Prevailing since the establishment of diplomatic relations of trust and mutually beneficial bilateral relations between the two countries is the intensity of the meetings of the heads of two states. The basis for the development of bilateral relations was laid during the official and working visits of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the UAE, as well as private visits of the UAE President H.H.Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Kazakhstan.
The UAE actively support major foreign policy initiatives of Kazakhstan. Our positions on most international and regional issues coincide. Economic and trade cooperation also plays an important role in strengthening the Kazakhstan-UAE relations. In addition to that, Bilateral cultural and humanitarian relations are generally progressive and have a strong tendency to expand.
Commemorating the development of relations between Kazakhstan and UAE, Emirates Post Group has issued a joint issue of postage stamps with Joint-stock company “Kazpost” carrying the images of heads of the two states.
