Off the coast of Abu Dhabi is a protected marine biosphere where nature is respected and allowed to flourish. It’s through the protection of Bu Tinah’s unique environment and the conservation of its habitats and inhabitants that this important ecosystem has thrived. Valuable insight has been gained from it to help develop understanding and solutions for threatening environmental issues.
Bu Tinah Island is a natural treasure of the UAE and the only finalist from the Arabian Gulf in the New 7 Wonders of Nature competition, making it a source of pride throughout the region.
Supporting all efforts to preserve the natural environment of Bu Tinah Island, Emirates Post has issued a set of commemorative stamps in 10 denominations and a distinctive souvenir sheet to highlight the richness of UAE’s natural beauty and wildlife given by God and to make it popular.
