Emirates Post, in association with Arab postal administrations, has issued a set of commemorative stamps in one denominations (225 Fils) on the occasion of Arab Postal Day which is observed every year on August 3 to highlight the role played by the post in community development and celebrate the stages of postal development over the ages.
The communications services in Arab countries are considered the main tools of integrating with the world economy, as the information sector is a key driver of overall economic development.
Arab Postal Day stressed the importance of communication and information technologies in the Arab world, and sought to identify opportunities for boosting cooperation in the postal field in Arab countries.
Emirates Post aims to monitor, document and highlight local and global achievements and important occasions and events through commemorative stamps, as the postage stamps are a channel of cross-cultural communication, reaching different countries and peoples across the globe.
