28th Universal Postal Congress – Dubai 2025
Emirates Post has released a set of commemorative stamps dedicated to the 28th Universal Postal Congress – Dubai 2025, hosted by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) under the theme “Leading the Change, Creating the Future.” Bringing together delegations from 192 member countries of the Universal Postal Union (UPU), the Congress is the organization’s highest decision-making forum where member states will adopt the sector’s strategy and procedures for the 2026–2029 cycle.
This issuance reflects the UAE’s prominent role as a global hub for postal and logistics services, while reaffirming its commitment to driving digital transformation as the backbone of modern postal operations. By embracing cutting-edge technologies, such as artificial intelligence, and enabling e-commerce solutions and smart services, the UAE demonstrates how the postal sector can evolve to meet the needs of a rapidly changing world.
Beyond technology and innovation, this issuance celebrates art as a bridge of culture and human connection. The stamp’s design, created by Emirati artist Yasmin Al Mulla, unfolds a visual journey: a historic gateway narrating the stories of the past, open seas and traditional dhows symbolising the UAE’s maritime heritage, the soaring falcon embodying pride and strength, golden sand dunes flowing with the rhythm of nature, and majestic skyscrapers rising to embrace the sky. Woven together, these elements form a single masterpiece that reflects the global pulse of postal connectivity and documents a historic milestone in the UAE’s journey.
This commemorative stamp embodies the UAE’s holistic vision of uniting digital transformation, innovation, and art into a universal cultural message. It inspires future generations to embrace creativity, turn challenges into opportunities, and play an active role in shaping the future of the global postal sector.
