Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026
In line with the United Arab Emirates’ commitment to advancing sport as a driver of quality of life and a platform that brings people together, Emirates Post, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, issued a commemorative stamp collection marking the Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026. The event will be held in the Middle East for the first time as part of the World Masters Games movement founded in 1985 and organized under the International Masters Games Association (IMGA), officially recognized by the International Olympic Committee.
Featuring selected sports from the Games, the collection also marks the first commemorative stamp issuance of its kind in the history of the Masters Games, documenting a major sporting event hosted by the Emirate of Abu Dhabi across more than 20 venues from 6 to 15 February 2026. It also reflects the UAE’s advanced infrastructure and deep organizational expertise in delivering large-scale international events and supporting cultural and sporting exchange, while reinforcing the country’s standing as a regional and international hub for sport, sports tourism, community engagement, and international events.
The Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026 gathers more than 25,000 participants from across the world competing in over 30 different sports. The sport categories also include disciplines open to People of Determination and 6 Emirati heritage sports, delivered over ten days. Open to everyone aged 30 and above, with no upper age limit, the event brings to life the principles of “sport for life” and “sport for all”.
The stamp issuance underscores Emirates Post’s role in documenting national and international milestones hosted by the UAE as a lasting cultural record for generations to come. They also highlight the UAE as a destination that brings the world together around the values of health, inclusion, and diversity, and its investment in sport as a soft power that strengthens international presence and advances national priorities linked to quality of life, wellbeing, and healthy living.
