30 Years of the Emirates Philatelic Association
Emirates Post, in collaboration with the Emirates Philatelic Association, issued a distinctive commemorative stamp in recognition of the Association’s journey and its contribution to advancing philately in the UAE. The issue also acknowledges the Association’s role in promoting UAE stamps locally and internationally, and in highlighting the country’s broader cultural progress.
The Emirates Philatelic Association was established under Ministerial Resolution No. (372) dated 24 June 1996. Since then, it has continued to develop philately and strengthen its place within the community through specialized initiatives and activities that broaden participation and encourage the exchange of knowledge and expertise.
The Association was established to achieve the following objectives:
• Encourage and develop the promotion of philately.
• Bring together Philatelists in the UAE to exchange ideas and stamps.
• Hold symposia and exhibitions on philately.
• Encourage Philatelic groups in schools, institutes, universities, and any institutions.
• Publish magazines and publications on stamp collecting.
• Co-operate with Arab and International Philatelic Associations.
• Provide a library for members to study and understand the culture.
• Promote social and cultural activities and encourage other hobbies among members.
