Qasr Al Watan, known as the Palace of the Nation, is a unique cultural landmark that reflects the vision of the United Arab Emirates, its cultural heritage, and values of humanity that shaped the history on which it was built.
Set amid the 380,000-square-meter Presidential Palace courtyard, it also hosts the official offices of the President of the UAE, Vice-President, and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. More than a traditional palace, Qasr Al Watan pays tribute to the Arab region’s artistic and cultural heritage.
As one of the few presidential headquarters in the world that has opened its doors to the public, Qasr Al Watan invites visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the UAE’s governing traditions and values by exploring a well-preserved legacy of knowledge and tradition. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to explore the splendor of Islamic architecture through the majestic hallways of the Palace, as they delve into a world of fascinating exhibitions and artifacts and architecture. As part of the all-encompassing guest experience, a spectacular light and sound show, the Palace in Motion event, presents a visual journey from the UAE’s rich history to its thriving present.
The Palace also houses the Qasr Al Watan Library, where guests can explore a vast collection of knowledge resources and books that shed light on subjects including history, geography, and the social, economic, and political development of the UAE.
To further promote Qasr Al Watan, one of the nation’s significant monuments to cultural knowledge, Emirates Post has issued a set of commemorative stamps.
