Dubai Aluminium Company
Limited (DUBAL) is the largest single
site aluminium smelter in the Western world. It
is also the single largest non-oil contributor to the
economy of Dubai.
DUBAL’s multi-billion-dollar, state-of-the-art smelter
complex comprises a 686,000 MT primary
aluminium smelter, a 1,700 megawatt power station,
a large carbon plant, two casthouses, a 30-million-
gallon-per-day desalination plant, laboratories and
research facilities, port and storage facilities,
maintenance areas, and associated administration
buildings.
DUBAL now produces over 686,000 tonnes of
primary aluminium per annum, which it uses to
manufacture value added products: foundry alloy for
automotive wheels, extrusion billet for construction
purposes and high purity aluminium for the
electronics industry
DUBAL serves 240 valued customers in 44 countries
worldwide. Its key markets are the Far East,
Europe, the ASEAN region, the Middle East and
Mediterranean region, and North America. It
employs over 3,000 skilled professionals, craftsmen,
operators and support staff, a good proportion of
whom are UAE Nationals.
DUBAL is also a leader of the quality movement in
Dubai, if not the world. It has twice won the Dubai
Quality Award in the Production and Manufacturing
sector (1996 and 2000). It is certified to the
international quality standards ISO 9001, QS 9000
and ISO 14001; it has achieved the OHSAS 18001.
Commemorating the 25th Anniversary of Dubai

stamps in 3 denominations (50 Fils,
275 Fils, 375 Fils).
