League of Arab States: 80th Anniversary
March 2025 marks a historic milestone – the 80th anniversary of the founding of the League of Arab States. This occasion celebrates eight decades of collective action and the ongoing pursuit of unity, independence, and cooperation across the Arab world.
Since its establishment in 1945, the League has been a cornerstone for Arab diplomacy and cooperation, guiding the transformation of the region from one under colonial influence into a coalition of 22 sovereign states. Over the years, it has championed a shared Arab vision – promoting political coordination, economic development, cultural exchange, and social cohesion. The League has also served as a steadfast advocate for Arab causes on the global stage.
In line with recommendations by the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, and as part of wider regional celebrations, Emirates Post is proud to mark this momentous occasion by issuing a special set of commemorative stamps. Designed in coordination with the League’s General Secretariat, the stamps embody the spirit and legacy of Arab unity.
This issuance honours 80 years of collective progress and reaffirms the enduring power of Arab cooperation as a driver of stability, prosperity, and cultural pride.
