“The United Arab Emirates celebrates its National Day on 2nd December each year. The efforts of the Late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder and architect of the United Arab Emirates and his Brothers, Members of UAE Supreme Council, were crowned with the establishment of the United Arab Emirates on 2nd December, 1971. Not content with the present achievements of the UAE, the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan aspires for greater prosperity for the country and its people.
On the occasion of the 39th UAE National Day, Emirates Post had organized a postage stamp design competition for school students. The competition is part of Emirates Post’s keen drive to foster students’ artistic abilities and fuel their creativity. In recognition of the winners’ creativity and excellence, Emirates Post has issued 6 stamps carrying the winning entries as a reflection of the governments’ efforts to encouraging children to develop their talents.

The winning designs came from the following students:
