Description
Sharjah Old Cars Club and Museum
The Sharjah Old Cars Club and Museum were inaugurated in 2008 under the gracious patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. Together, they form an integrated platform dedicated to preserving the history of vintage cars and strengthening their cultural presence in the Emirate of Sharjah, as one of the pioneering initiatives and the first of its kind in the region.
The Sharjah Old Cars Club is dedicated to bringing together owners and enthusiasts of vintage cars, supporting them through the organisation of specialised events and activities, and promoting a culture of appreciation for vintage automobiles. The club also plays a vital role in facilitating the exchange of expertise and contributing to the preservation of this important historical heritage.
Meanwhile, the Sharjah Old Cars Museum focuses on preserving, documenting, and exhibiting a distinguished collection of vintage cars that chronicle the history of the automotive industry and highlight its development across the decades, through an engaging and educational experience designed to inform and entertain visitors.
To commemorate this occasion Emirates Post, in collaboration with the Sharjah Old Cars Club and Museum, issued a special collection of commemorative stamps featuring images of rare classic cars from the collection of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.
