Emirates Post has issued a commemorative stamp to mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, celebrating a national journey rich in achievements, and reaffirming the UAE’s enduring commitment to nurturing and empowering mothers and children, in line with the vision of its wise leadership.
Since its founding in 2003, the Council has served as a comprehensive national framework for safeguarding the rights of mothers and children, and has played a pivotal role in positioning them as central partners in the UAE’s sustainable development agenda. Through progressive policies, legislation, and targeted initiatives, the Council has made a lasting impact on social well-being across the nation.
This commemorative stamp stands as a tribute to the Council’s accomplishments over the past two decades, accomplishments made possible by the exceptional vision and steadfast dedication of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Nation,” Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation. Her Highness’s leadership has laid the foundation for a holistic and forward-looking approach to supporting mothers and children, embedding their empowerment as a national priority. Guided by her directives, the Council has launched pioneering initiatives and strategic programs that have elevated the status of mothers and children, aligning national efforts with the highest global standards and reinforcing their active role in shaping a more prosperous and inclusive future
