100 Years of Fédération Internationale de Philatélie
The International Federation of Philately (FIP) marks its centenary, commemorating its founding in 1926 as the leading international body dedicated to advancing stamp collecting and raising the standards of specialised philatelic exhibitions worldwide. From a small grouping of European federations, FIP has grown into a global network comprising more than 90 Regular Members (national federations) and three Associated Members (continental federations).
FIP’s objectives include promoting the hobby, encouraging friendly relations among people, strengthening cooperation with postal administrations and the philatelic trade, and supporting exhibitions through the granting of patronage and recognition under internationally recognised criteria.
To commemorate this milestone, Emirates Post, in collaboration with the Emirates Philatelic Association, issued a commemorative stamp issue marking FIP’s 100th anniversary. The collection was launched during the Dubai 2026 World Stamp Exhibition.
